Hum, not my experience. I run it on an old pc as a podman container, for me and my wife, exactly for the same use case of OP: auto uploading the pictures/videos on our phones. Upload is almost instantaneous. Browsing files is fine, but I usually use a separate software to index/search the photos on the upload directory. For all kind of files (documents etc) is good.
Anymore? Where do you think RTFM comes from, people never read the manual.
Well, in case my username wasn’t clear enough lol
Gather around kids, story time. It was 2002 and I had a desktop pc with two video cards, one Matrox with dual video output (they were pretty much the only consumer ones with that at the time) on AGP slot, and one “something” (probably ATI, it still had and RCA port) on PCI. So I installed gentoo (from stage1, as it was custom at the time) and fiddled around with xorg.conf to have two monitors output from the Matrox and a third (yes, I had 3 monitors) from the ATI.
That’s when I understood the power of Linux (no way win2000 was able to do that).

I want workplaces to use Linux.46·3 months agoIn corporate managed fleet of PCs updates are pushed by the company internal management systems. Some companies give you a 24hours option, some others (ahem, power tripping sysadmins, I know, I was one) say “fuck you and your work, you install when I say so”. It’s not strictly a Windows thing, it’s a company policy.
Oh yeah, I remember those. My solution was to not emerge anything for 24 hours, by the next day usually they fixed the issue.
Yes, I tried it around 2002/2003, back when the recommended way was from stage1. I think I had a P4 with HT. It was noticeably faster than redhat or mandrake (yes, I was distro hopping a lot). Emerge gnome-mono was a night run. Openoffice about 24hrs.
Lots of wasted time but I did learn how to setup some things manually.
You can pay mullvad in monero, cash, scratchcards. Mullvad has really no billing information if you don’t want to
Oh man, you have no idea. I’ve learnt to wake up when the noise dies, it means something’s wrong.
you’re not wrong, but with enough drives the different seeking noises just blend together so you don’t hear the single one, just the wider harmony 😀
White noise from the slow humming fans, perfect!

It has an option to connect via smb.
