And for the digital solution you would also need to (break into the network + break into HA) -or- (break zigbee/zwave/thread) + be physically present to take advantage. I would argue this is generally more secure than a mass-produced lock with unknown vulnerabilities that’s easily recognizable from outside.

Look into ecowitt. I only have the ground humidity sensors, but they work well with HA.
