My comment is more general vibe of my experience with bazzite. similar to what Staff below me said, sometimes it just have some weird inconvenient ways to do things when I need to, for example, use the terminal to look up some folders or change things. idk I admit I’m still not too good doing things in the terminal but adding another layer of having to learn what an immutable distro adds on top seems to be tripping me more.

Idk if I like bazzite or not. I started my Linux change around 5 months ago I think. Started with cachy os. I think it was going fine but something slowly broke so I changed to bazzite 2 months ago I think.

The fun part is it’s quick to just distro hop. I have my backups all okay so that helps a lot. When everything works both was working fine and easy I feel.

But when something starts to get wonky, I’m kind of struggling a bit more with bazzite due to the atomic nature. Idk that’s just the vibe I’m feeling.

And besides, there are instances where they try to federate to as many instances as possible. Sure it takes time to find it but that’s why there people out there recommending general instances to people looking to join the threadiverse. I join some of them and use the accounts there so that I can recommend them to people.

even using ytdlnis, sometimes it will fail to download. I think it’s independent of downloading and streaming

IIRC they said that SABR is slowly being rolled out and DASH phased out. instead of waiting they decided to tackle this head on. I’m 50/50 having no problems for a few videos then getting stuck in this trap.
