How do you run that command you mentioned? Was it a few hours in or right at installation and login?

Linux is easier to use than trying to registry hack your way into a local account.

They’re using AI for a lot of their posts as well.

Username checks out.
Uh yeah it’s context because Ubuntu and Pop are on the “beginner” side of there chart.
Yeah they’re on like alpha 7 I think? That sucks. I hope OpenSUSE is treating you better.
It is, but they’ve been working on their new DE Cosmic which should be hitting beta soon.
That’s because you use your computer and it’s not part of your personality. I’m reasonably well versed in Linux and I’ve used Pop for years.

I find it so strange that people think handling meat and biting grissle is revolting, but not the fact that you’re eating a dead creature that had a life. There is clearly some weird compartmentalization happening separating “meat” from living creature.
Try to briefly realize it won’t last. Unfortunately most people can’t do this, at least in western societies. We’re doomed to only realize what we had after it’s gone.

Most thermal pastes are about equal in effectiveness so stick with any name brand and you should be good.
For application I typically clean both the CPU’s heatspreader and cooler contact point with alcohol then squeeze out about a small pea sized amount of paste on the center of the heatspreader then let the mount force of the cooler spread it.
RTFM!
