I think a big part of this is just knowing what is possible. Not having to “chance upon” things for the first time.

But if you knew what you knew now you could do a lot. Just knowing that you can bake mud to make clay. Getting running water to where you live could be a game changer. It’s the key to agriculture, sanitation, etc.

Weapons are the same. Knowing something like the bow and arrow is possible will put you way ahead of sharp sticks and rocks.

Or Microsoft/outlook/exchange. Apple wouldn’t even be in my top 20 for this question.

Yeah with ebook readers the actual device doesn’t really matter as long as you use calibre. I also use the same kindle and honestly I’m not even sure if it has wifi. Maybe. Probably. But it never gets used.

They basically tear all their top seller self help books to shreds. It’s very entertaining and actually really smart too.

I don’t buy clothes online but my wife does. This is how she works: She orders stuff all the time. Maybe every few days something will arrive and she’ll try it on. It’s like a constant production line so she’s never actively waiting to try things on. They “just arrive” constantly.

And yes she returns a ton of stuff. She probably visited the post office twice a week to return the non fitting items. Or a lot of times they fit but don’t quite look the same on her than she imagined or the quality wasn’t great.

Also some places she has ordered enough times from that fitting isn’t an issue any more. She knows their cuts and sizing very well.

I guess it also helps to be a standard size of traditional proportions. For myself I have to compensate for a more typical programmer physique haha.

Worth it for the sweetest girl I know.
