Not me, I’d just take a closer look at what I’ve done and see where my mistakes are.
It’s not like we’re married or something, I don’t live with him. It’s just an email, get over it.
He basically has one rule and one rule only… we don’t break user space… IMO, if you break that one rule, I believe he has the right to be angry. It’s not constructive, but I wouldn’t hold it against him.
No… the one true admin is MS… but they don’t want you to know that.
The true “admin” in Windows is the default elevated admin account that you can’t delete. And even that is not completely true, cuz Trusted Installer sometimes has presidence. Basically, if you can combine System+TrustedInstaller+Administrator, that would make it similar to root on Linux… so yes, privilege escalation in Windows is a joke.
Not exactly… I mean, yes, you’re right about the privileges thing, but Windows has a lot more security holes than Linux (or any POSIX based OS for that matter). The root of the problem, as always is the distant Windows relative, DOS… no user space notion whatsoever… and Windows NT has dragged these issues for decades now, all because MS made (bought) DOS and distributed it.
True story, Linux sees MIME types, so if Hot.Chick.Blows.Brother.mp4 is a virus, it shows up with a Windows (MZ) binary icon, not a media icon 😉… unlike Windows which only recognizes extensions 😒.
When the person doesn’t see anything wrong with what they did, yes I belive I have the right to be a cunt about it.
