I don’t think my early 20’s radio host voice will be of much use to them.
One of them Carpenter nerd types.

I pick up every call I’m aware of. Scammers, phishers, polls, and everything else. I love messing with people, and good luck with getting accurate poll results, I have a dice rolling app I use to answer the questions.
It’s even on a schedule for me now. The ‘TV company’ scam calls around 5pm to try me out, polling places seem to be weekend exclusives, and rarely I’ll get a noonish jingle from some other random organization.
About 40% of the scam calls automatically disconnect after 8 seconds, and the rest I get to play with.
I get that dude! That’s why I left it very ambiguous on what the viewer might be paying for, simply that they would be more likely to spent after having seen the thing than not!
I played the stock market game in grade school and noticed this one stock, BRKHA that was moving thousands of dollars daily (and was occasionally dipping into the hundreds). Considering the others would only move a fraction of a dollar daily it was a goal to get one share for the game. I did and ended up winning.
I should have tried to pressure my parents into at least one share. By the time I was 18 it would have been worth 70k, and these days it’s up to… Nearly 700k per share.
I would’ve likely sold it on my 18th birthday and been able to languish a bit longer than I did. All in all it wouldn’t have been worth doing.
Take away the pirates and they’ll have to pay!
Or people will just not watch movies… Which is far far worse than the pirates as there will be no drive to watch new movies. Having viewers, even if they don’t pay immediately doesn’t mean those people won’t eventually become paying viewers. A non-viewer will never pay.
I should also probably mention the last movie at a theater I went to see was ‘the boy and the heron’, and that was the last piece of movie media I’ve watched.
And for completing your segment of the work. A worthy celebration indeed.
Tyrian. 90’s scrolling shooter ported over and mostly functional.
Imma need you to define what you mean.
Asexual. There’s a lot of us around these parts for whatever reason.
There are levels and layers to sexuality, with some being absolutely disgusted by the idea of anything romantic related at all, while I’d say the opposite end of it being those who are actively willing to engage in sex, but don’t get anything physically out of it themselves.
The biggest thing to note from any asexual person is the general apathy on the importance of sex as a thing to experience. Being one myself, I can’t really claim to know amazing it is, but I can guess that if it’s what some people think about constantly, get addicted to, and continue to engage in after having enough kids that it’s financially impossible to support them… It must be pretty good for some people.
Too many to list.
They all either:
Died
Got cancelled
Pandered to a younger audience of which I am not.
You’ve been missing out. Customizable vapes allow for flavor and nicotine customizations as well. I weened myself off of the nicotine some years ago, but I do still occasionally take a poof of the melon mix that I like.
The part that’s wild to me is people who have the option to never touch the addictive agent of smoking still opt into it for some strange reason.
Inoreader for android. It’s just a news links aggregator that you opt in various topics or networks and get fed a plethora of headlines and links to the articles. Sometimes they’ll even grab a paragraph or two from the article. I started using that at the same time I hopped on Lemmy.
Nah I’m not nice though I am considerate. I’m not socially… apt… but I know how to act.
This topic actually prompted me to google the answer to the one thing I had been looking for only to find that the answer is completely obtuse and kind of misleading, which is why I wasn’t able to find it on my own.
Every time I install gimp in an attempt to switch over, I find myself frustrated that the tools I commonly use on other programs are not either available by default or unintuitive enough that 20 minutes of looking through tools, tabs, and menus has not provided the results I went looking for.
I try every few years, or every major update, whichever happens first.
It’s not that I prefer having images occluded by anything, signatures, text boxes, or whatever… But when it comes to online protections for someone’s work, hell yeah put that shit on there.
The best part is that I’ve been saying this well before generative AI was mainstream. Artists who put their work on public domains who don’t want it getting into the hands of others shouldn’t have an issue with signing the hell out of the image. They can of course add it before uploading and not to the original.
Would it be amazing if people properly lisenced others work and/or requested permission to use it? Absolutely. That’s just not the world we live in.
I’ve said it many times, but the channels I speak through are small, so from the top!
If you put your artwork online in any public location, make sure your signature or even a QR code is obnoxiously large and centered on the image. Humans can still see and enjoy what you’ve made, AI won’t be able to discern anything, and if it happens to get ripped by one of those Chinese T-shirt bots, at least anyone who buys will know who the original artist is.
There are two sides to american eating habits… the ones who think the Wendy’s Ghost Pepper fries were too spicy, and the ones who are actively out there inventing a whole new level of spice to torture their taste buds with.
Sadly, the first side is WAAAAAYYYY larger than the second and any level of spice stronger than black pepper will instantaneously send them both to the bathroom and the emergency room for even daring to try something with some flavor on it. And it doesn’t help that as far as most people (around here anyways) consider indian food chicken tika marsala and samosas… and that’s the entirety of the menu.
The only other thing I can think of that might cause it is the intention for each bite of bland food (like rice) to have a surplus of flavorings on it, which works for most non spiced foods but may wreak some havoc on people who don’t balance out their spice intake with the rest of the meal. There’s probably something to be said for overall quality causing some problems as well.
I can’t be sure, but from the people I’ve interacted with, these are reasons I can think of which may explain how things got to where they are.
Not yet, but I can do that later.
