This. To put it simply, people respond better to what’s familiar and to what has a clear goal. F.e. if you’re about to open a restaurant, don’t sell power tools in it. If you want to sell powertools, create a separate store

But I can buy anything with fiat curency and with bitcoin I can basically buy nothing. And I never will be able probably, bitcoin is too slow to be used as an actual curency to buy common things like groceries
The opposite, I always sleep with blanket on even if I don’t want to. In summer I fall asleep with blanket on my side and wake up fully covered in blanket. And sweating like a pig

Pfff I know all about the aptitude, who do you think I am? Someone who doesn’t know the aptitude? I use it all the time for a lot of … stuff the aptitude does
How can I contribute? Just making a pull request?
Autumn, I realized all the good things are in autumn - my birthday, september fairs, things calm down after crazy summer, halloween, and providing autumn ends officially at 22nd december - waiting for christmas, the atmosphere, christmas parties in december
In my opinion yes, unfortunately. It’ll suffer from Gartner hype cycle soon but it’ll recover and will slowly get better every year to the point it’s really good.
The worst thing is that I don’t see any “stop sign”. Like f.e. with self driving cars it was kind of obvious that it’ll get ridiculously complex in real life situations, thus having a problem with legislation and mass adoption. But with AI? I don’t know, I don’t see any stop sign … Maybe that it never reaches this high mark we all expect?

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Could you do me a favour and make this post look like a Reddit post?
7·1 year agoSo true, put this on a tea cup!
A classmate of mine from elementary school is a professional voleyball player. She traveled the world, played for teams in Europe, Middle east and Asia. Eventually she settled in the exact same village as me on the completely oposite side of the country from where we grew up. I didn’t even know until my wife told me that one of our neighbours was born in the same town as me

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•what was your favorite thing about your first car?
3·2 years agoCitroen Saxo, everything was SO cheap. I remember I had to replace a side mirror and a new one was like … 30€? And I was able to do it myself.
Replacing a side mirror on my Octavia was almost 500€!

Maybe it’s just nostalgia but in my opinion, with youtube it went all to shit the moment the money started to be involved. Algorithm chasing, advertisement, reactive content, sponsors, quickly generated videos, … and all the other shit.
So if monetization, then let’s try to avoid same mistakes
