14·2 months agoHey ! With rnode (another firmware for lora devices) you can directly do ip over lora ! So I can basically control my server from 9-10km away (if I stay on the coast) without internet !

3·3 months agoThe best solution would be to remove the ISP’s router from the equation. What ISP do you have? Where do you live? In places like Italy it’s trivial to change the router, not so much in France/others
It works well, but if you want to do ‘custom stuff’ (like hosting a matrix instance) you’ll be out of luck

I just did the contrary. Moved from debian to arch. After the update to trixie my network stack completely died somehow, so I’m going back to arch.

0·6 months agoTalk to them. Education goes both ways: they educated you when you where an enfant, now’s your turn.
Putting linux on it is surprisingly easy. The difficult part is unlocking the bootloader… That took me 2 weeks. But yeah, now I have arch+hyprland on slot B and android 16 on slot A in a dual boot setup, and it’s smooth as hell. 17 hours of screen on time with libreoffice/gnome pdf reader.
