Cool wind blows
Autumn’s herald harkens
Balls sweat no more

I moved to mint when I got sick of windows shit. Zero regrets. It just works, seriously low maintenance. Love it.
If you’re in the US, Spanish. It might actually be useful.

Boo. That shit carries so far. I go to the woods to get away from human bullshit. I’d much prefer the wind through the land with a birdsong accompaniment.

Yes! The amount of people who feel entitled to blast noise is too damn high! I was gonna comment on playing noise n speakers in public settings, but I’ll happily pile on here.

Tell them they’re all fake people for a free extension to your stay!

Public transportation doesn’t work in the endless suburbs and stripmalls we’ve built. It’s too spread out, and we’ve been doing it for a few generations now. It’s difficult for my countrypeople to imagine living differently, to imagine that our existence may not be their birthright.
People think nothing of living 20 plus miles from where they work or go to school, can’t imagine a world where such a thing is a ridiculous notion. We could have all these nice things. People want a better world, a more functional city.
But ask people to change, to live a smaller life, and be prepared for a deluge of excuses and justifications. We all wake up and collectively decide the world we’re gonna live in today.

Any “big game”. Moose taste like swamp.
Venison can be good if it’s properly butchered and stored. It so often isn’t though. People will shoot a deer then leave it to hang for a day in 50-60 degree weather. Just gross.
Bears are too greasy. And they’re too smart, eating them is just bad karma.
A lot of game meat can be good, people just have no clue what to do with the processing side of it. They’ll spend thousands of dollars buying the most ridiculous gear to kill the damn thing, and then just fail at butchering and preserving. Hunting is the easy part.

Perch are good if you fry them right. But I live up north where the water stays cooler, I think it makes the fish taste better. You go down south and anything you catch just tastes like swamp.
I would be very interested in an answer to this as well. Also any how to guides that would be useful for a guy whose technical high-water mark was getting mint set up on my laptop.
To a t!! Happy Lemmy day you glorious nerds!!!

I installed mint, and my Linux knowledge (little to none) plateaued because it never breaks. I never have to fix anything. I’m the iPad kid of Linux.
Aldi’s is the shit
And they receive how many subsidies? Would be unviable without massive public infrastructure? Without air traffic control? How many bailouts has the industry received?
It’s practically a socialist institution at this point, can we not just pull that bandaid and either nationalize it or cut the subsidies all together? Not to mention the carbon impact of so many flights all the godamn time is having.
Heelies were the shit! If they ever make a pair that will work for a 300lb, 6’6 man, I’m sure to get maimed!

Most people for most of history worshiped a fertility deity of one sort or another. Some stone age asshole spreading around what is basically nano tech (the seeds), having no idea how it worked, just knowing it was a miracle.
Just a few examples . Through out the year, at least before the abrahamic religions really took off, most people would have participated in at least one fertility ceremony or festival of some sort.

Not vegetarian but ground turkey works great. Better for the environment and the wallet.
I use mint on my PC and love it! However I’m now the ipad kid of Linux. It never breaks, I never have to learn anything. Just getting it up and running is the zenith of my knowledge and ability.
