Pour être honnête je connais pasteur pour (choquant), la pasteurisation. Cela dit ma réponse a “qui a inventé la vaccination” aurait été “euuuuuh”.

You’re probably right, these fake meats are ultra-processed so their CO2 emission might not be all that great and regardless I’m not trying to increase how much processed food I eat…
Yeah I don’t think I could go vegan but I could maybe go vegetarian, I’ve already pretty much stopped all red meat, but I do rely on chicken breast quite a bit for my protein and I don’t think I could live without eggs and dairy products.

Beat me to my joke.

Right, pretty much the bulk of my work use for my PC :( I guess I still need to wait a bit more before I can finally switch over…
I’ve never tried LMMS but there is Bitwig with native Linux support, it’s paid but it’s really as good if not better than Ableton in some ways. In fact the creators are ex-Ableton Devs.

Still hurts.

Can’t tell if you’re taking the piss haha.
That very much depends on whether they’re a Parisian or not. Though even if they’re Parisian it’s still 50/50.
Disgusting.

Yeah, Adobe sucks major ass but while I’ve been meticulous for quite a few years to choose software that’s either FOSS or at least had native Linux versions, I can’t see myself doing the photography stuff in the alternatives. I’m moving more and more away from that work for moving images instead and the main programs I use for that do work (DaVinci resolve, blender). Thank you!

I’m a pretty advanced user on Windows and I sometimes use the command prompts but it’s pretty darn rare, and I certainly don’t have any commands memorized. I have a couple basic commands memorized for the run tool but even that rarely comes up. I don’t tinker with my machine for the sake of it though, ideally I want it to “just work” and I’d want the same thing from Linux. And I do want that but unfortunately there’s a few programs I need for my work that don’t run on it (namely lightroom and Photoshop). Spending time on Lemmy did make me want to install a dual boot mint though, I have a separate drive for it I need to move from my old machine, doing that soon^tm.

This particular program would work great in combination with old school German/Dutch toilets with the poop shelf, take a pic after the deed and let the program tell you how you need to adjust your diet.

Pierogi?
OP sneakily making Lemmy do their homework, well played.

Quark yogurts are your friend, I get some that have 25g of protein per serving for only around 130cal, I top them with a bit of muesli so they’re less boring and the whole snack is then like 180/190cal and way more filling and more protein than a bar with similar calories (they’re already flavoured as well)…

I still do but I just don’t have time for any serious gaming, so it’s only quick or indie games for me. But I think I could see myself get back into an MMO or something when I’m retired.

I’m personally a canon shooter myself (C400+R5C), so of course I can warmly recommend joining that ecosystem if you’re serious about the hobby. Do realize that is what you’re doing though, when you get started with one brand it becomes hard to switch, so think about if the brand is a good fit for you overall and not just your first purchase.
Canon is great, very solid and reliable and has remained at the top of the game for a long time, maybe not always the craziest innovators but workhorse cameras. Not the cheapest… Especially some accessories are crazy overpriced, and the new RF glass can also be expensive but there’s also some really good cheap options like the small primes and you can adapt almost anything to RF mount.
Fuji I’m less familiar with but I hear is great too and great fun maybe slightly more for casual use, which sounds bad but actually you should think about this carefully because it also means the experience will be a lot more fun and you’ll have an easier time getting good looking results than with the specialist gear which gives you full control but if you don’t know what to do with it then your results will be poor.
Nikon is coming back big time kind of like canon as well, we’re in the return of the kings in this space with the classic Japanese companies doing pretty good at the moment, overall you’ll get a very similar experience as canon with them just a different flavour.

Yeah the R50 would be great! Then you can just get it along with the kit lens (where I am they’re putting the 18-150mm with it, that would be perfect to cover your bases and get started on most anything).
For your macro needs you can add tube extenders (like the meike MK-RF-AF1 for example) to allow you to get closer to the subjects. Maybe later some small/cheap lights like small battery LED panels, the nice thing with macro is you don’t need big/expensive lights to get really creative since the subject is so small and close.
I think macro is a really fun niche to get started in! Good luck on your journey.
Yeah I remember UK was way ahead of the game on this and it was a big topic in the 2000s but maybe they got overtaken.
