I think perhaps it would be nice with custom tags.

it is very subjective what is nsfw and what is not. For some people, making porn is their work, so obviously porn is not nsfw for them.

If we had custom tags, we would have the hassle of having the same thing in a lot of different categories, but I would much prefer that to having only the nsfw option which is just not enough to capture the diversity of content (and badly named).

then I could block all the porn tags (or perhaps block a user driven list of porn tags) and avoid a lot more “porn” than I do now 😅

I do my personal wiki in markdown (with kakoune and kak-wiki), and then I convert to html using pandas :)

converting to html, adds an extra step in order for people to edit the text, but it makes it easy to access and navigate :)

I just checked his YouTube channel and a lot of his videos have alt-right rhetoric or dog-whistles in the title or thumbnail.

I think that might happen more often on mastodon, since if you reply to a thread there, it gets boosted to all your followers.

It might be interesting to add a sorting method to Lemmy, that would bump posts every time a comment is added.

Perhaps something to turn on for each community individually ?
