Spoiler alert Snape kills Boromir
I had an external hard drive enclosure that I stored my Plex content on before I built a nas, and the enclosure would go to sleep after 15 minutes and take the drives offline. So i had a cron script write a 1 kb file to each drive every 14 minutes. Worked well enough
Yeah this was more or less Ray Kruzweil’s take all the way back in 2005.
It’s so sad Steve Job died of ligma
Same for me. I found the show amusing but never once laughed while watching it, if that makes sense
I am still currently using Tachiyomi (Android only) bc it still works, but the dev dropped developing it bc of lawsuits. There are forks of it as well
Yeah UAD works great! 👍
Cure (1997) is an absolutely mesmerizing film
The Hannibal series maintained my interest throughout, largely carried by Mads Mikkelsen
What do you mean by not budging the teeth while flossing? Some of my teeth are pretty tight and I do use force to get the string floss to break through, is that bad?
Imo: just getting new ideas for ways to reduce/consolidate the number of things I have to carry every day. I switched from a regular wallet to an ultralight wallet (Ridge, but there are much cheaper alternatives) and it has been helping out my back a lot. It’s also nice to get recommendations for multi-tools and stuff.
I only everyday carry my phone, car keys, apt keys, and wallet, and I often leave my apt keys locked in my car so I have one fewer thing to carry.
Same. I’ll very occasionally do an Old Fashioned, Manhattan, or Mojito, but usually just an ale or lager
God I wish I was part of your team
As a fellow non people person
Press X to doubt.
"Might as well not bother patching this actively-exploited security vulnerability, there’ll just be another one in the future, " LMAO
One of the most common criticisms levied against Oppenheimer is its blistering pace that crams in as much detail as possible, so I find it hard to believe that it could’ve been condensed into 90 minutes.
You can have tons of tabs open while still being able to read what they are
Moving the tabs to the side of your browser window frees up more vertical real estate which better matches the webpage layout of most websites, which otherwise have wasted space on the left and right sides of the page when viewing them on a computer
Same. I got lifetime memberships to 3 usenet provides but the *arr suite gets ~95% of my media from nzbgeek. Now the only recurring cost is for my provider. Downloads are so much faster and reliable than torrenting, and the automation is amazing.
When I first returned to Linux several years ago I started with Ubuntu, since it was the only distro I had used. I got confused when I installed Firefox and other apps via apt but instead got snap instead. This (very miniscule) gripe is enough of a reason for me to not recommend Ubuntu to new users anymore.
