Another day of learning about Linux from the comments under a meme.

I never reported violence but reported a fair deal of racism on non-english subreddits I browse. They were taken down.

2·10 months agoAuthor-activist Cory Doctorow does a daily thread on Mastodon (on stuff like tech policy) but because each post doesn’t have much text the threads get long. He also posts it on his blog, but I think Brewchin finds the thread annoying. His account: https://mamot.fr/@pluralistic

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Irreligious people, what's it like having kids when your parents are religious?
2·1 year agoThanks for sharing! I find what you have is really interesting.
Something I’m very curious about is how your wife is alright with the risk of them not choosing to be Christian and getting an eternity in hell? Is she a Christian universalist?

1·1 year agoI think I sort of get where youre coming from. But my relationship with my parents isnt the kind where it matters if they know Im irreligious. It also isnt important enough to me that I would want them to know.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Irreligious people, what's it like having kids when your parents are religious?
43·1 year agoIf I have kids I won’t raise them by a religion or put them through the expected rituals, and my parents will notice that. Which would then force me to come out. So not ruining my relationship with them means not having kids.
I’m curious what you work as? Sysadmin?
