Iirc typewriters have fairly unique typing patterns based on slight defects in each key. Some letters end up closer to others in a way that makes it possible to tell two papers were typed on the same machine. I don’t know a whole lot about it but that’s my two cents.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Should Lemmy Consider Implementing a Voice Chat Feature? Exploring the Pros, Cons, and Implications for a Federated PlatformEnglish
6·9 months agoThat’s what other federated services like Matrix are for. Maybe there could be an ActivityPub chatroom service but Lemmy is not and will never be that.
I can guarantee MacOS will not run on that computer
Edit: I was not aware that ARM macOS worked on Intel chips

I was protesting the recent illegal deportations. It was the #handsoff protest so there were plenty of different causes.
Good :) I went to a protest!

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Should IP enter the public domain?English
11·10 months agoHaving ip doesn’t project your character from being distorted by the public in ways you don’t expect. Similarly, not having ip doesn’t mean that the character is now completely out of your control. Others have provided examples such as Sherlock Holmes and Shakespeare where the characters are in the public domain but still keep their original meanings despite being changed by fans.

41·11 months ago- The Esperanto word for “to be” is “esti”. “Estas” means “is”. The Spanish equivalent would be “ser” which is not even close to the same word.
- Just because Esperanto shares some vocabulary and phonemes with Spanish doesn’t make it a knockoff. I guarantee if you speak Portuguese to an English person they’ll think it sounds like Spanish but that doesn’t make Portuguese a copy of Spanish.
- I don’t speak Spanish but I live around enough Spanish-speakers, and speak enough Brazilian Portuguese that I can tell the difference between Spanish and a conlang made by a Polish man.

No idea about the connections but did you just censor your local IP address??
