Anyone have any recommendations for replacements? Specifically email, drive, vpn, and password manager.

Email: basically forget it, email is inherently non-private because its privacy depends on the other person’s provider (usually google), not just your own. I use fastmail if that matters. mxroute.com is there if you want cheap and DIY.

Drive: nextcloud? I use Hetzner storage box and sshfs but they have a “storage cloud” (nextcloud) product too.

    vpn: openvpn, wireguard, ?

password manager: use the one built into your browser. If you need a password on two separate devices but it’s not too many passwords, just type them on both. Beyond that maybe sites should start allowing you to have more than one password, or browsers could let you export a password through a qr code. Having passwords on a separate server is a total head scratcher to me in terms of security.

Tuta mail? I haven’t had issues with it so far and it supports custom domains

I’ve used Mega for public filesharing (with a burner email made with my domain fronted through tuta)

Mullvad (even though they had the CEO incident I find them less risky than proton

I don’t use password managers, I have a physical notebook I put in a safe.
