For me its Linux Mint, I’m no longer in position really to do distro hopping, so long as Linux Mint keeps working I will keep using it, I see no reason to change right now. I’m glad and happy that you have settled on Ubuntu, have fun, enjoy and be happy huuuugs 😉

As someone who uses Flatpak you can still use the terminal to install, uninstall and do maintenance, not sure why people believe terminal is useless with Flatpak 😞
Flatpaks are containers, same as Snaps, I personally prefer Flatpaks over Snaps, but just my personal choice. I use Flatsweep and Flatseal apps to help administrate Flatpak apps, but use terminal as well 🙂

I always turn computer off when done, it never sleeps or hibernates, no need since I’m either using it or not, through been leaving it on 24/7 at moment due to wiping some hard drives which takes time, so it’s working which is fine 😬
