literally has the nickname “disk destroyer”, and it is a well-earned title. Once you have a bad default choice and no pre-installed alternative, you’ll have at minimum 3 competing tools. Just the way the world works.
I too know how to run sed -r
!
I could have sworn there is a puffer fish-themed SSH file manager GUI, but I can’t for the life of me find it right now.
Python does not need to be compiled, have you ever used it?
Can you please articulate why Python and Bash are so different in your eyes?
EEE is a tool to steal users, not products. In the case of Microsoft, using EEE tactics with Linux is to convince people that they can stay on a Windows machine and get their work done, so they don’t need a Linux computer. In the Fediverse, thr value of stealing users is much more obvious.
He doesn’t need to keep his system working, he can probably pay someone for that. He needs something that will maximize engagement, and a million “I use arch BTW” comments is exactly what he wants.
Something this graph doesn’t include is there was way more content. Everyone put their stuff on Netflix, and it wasn’t a revolving door of awful Netflix originals.
Is this some sort of Arch joke I’m too stable and usable to understand?
Now that the “I hate systemd” movement is mostly dead, it’s become funny again.
As an alternative, how about my entire cache in .config
?
Looking at you VSCode, with 3 unique cache folders.
The Linux one only works on some architectures. Notably, you can’t run it on a raspberry pi.
Yup, but once you do that, it’ll run Linux just fine.
I actually audibly laughed when Raspberry Pi came out with an 8GB version because for anyone who thinks 4GB isn’t enough probably won’t be happy with 8 either.
Steam funding a Linux-based gaming OS became inevitable as soon as Microsoft started selling games in the Microsoft store. The message was clear from that point: If you stay stuck to a single OS, they can always shut you down whenever they feel like it.
Or as I’ve recently started calling it, Linux + Linux.
Blowing smoke directly into your friend’s sensor to ge them in trouble.
Or ya know, vaping in the hall where you don’t have your own personal sensor and you’ll be back in class by the time any sensor goes off.
No one on LinkedIn has a real job, they’re all just bragging about being self-employed or paid to post there to “generate positive public opinion on 50 hour work weeks”.
