the ram on ops model would be ddr4, not 5. pricing is not that bad on ddr4 if I’m not mistaken

second this… I get quoted that in CAD… op should be closer to like 200£

chatgpt7 - we taught it to gaslight itself

that would be good

ram shortage, and Samsung pulling out of consumer sata production. they want AI everywhere and everyone to use it, but frig you if you need a computer to run it.

lol I just wanted people to question what was said.
it was a ‘warning’ for current Linux users or tech savvy/computer literate people like I stated… it’s still good, just restrictive in that it protects you from yourself, hut actually can be a hindrance to power users. nothing wrong with what I said.
warning for bazzite: It’s very restrictive and doesn’t let you actually manipulate it like most distros. if you’re even remotely tech savvy and want to explore/play around in Linux, do NOT install bazzite.
if you don’t care, and want their team to ‘protect you’ from doing pc damage, the. use bazzite.
(backstory; I went to modify my fstab, it allowed me to with no issues. I broke the file… fine, went to edit it to revert back… root access was revoked and I was told to f myself by bazzite. I had to enter grub? (can’t fully remember) to modify it back which worked but was a pain in the ass I should have had to do. promptly uninstalled and never looked back.)
lol, so are brand new ones

yeah I’m not sure. there was no physicals on the enclosure that I recall other then raid0 or 1 but I’ll double check.

interesting, I’ll look into this.

can confirm. I can understand how to make things work as I need it to in Linux, but I figured I’d try bazzote because people were saying how great it is. knowing how to manipulate Linux how I want, and using bazzite because very annoying because of the restrictions which I didn’t read about before hand. I wasn’t blaming Linux as a whole, just bazzitr specifically for trying to protect me. essentially they let me break it, but wouldn’t let me fix it.

When you say all those words in a sentence, I have honestly no idea what you are saying.
ya know. I’ve read this a lot directed at me… I clearly have a communication issue. I’ll reread everything and try to figure myself out .

I just quasi ran into storage issues. have 1 qnap with 16tb raid1… NTFS
I can’t for the life of me get it to connect to Linux, detects it being connected, won’t display as a drive.
I stupidly installed bazzite, which is stupidly restrictive (so I’ve learned) on fstab… found out after I had to boot into grub to edit fstab back since it wouldnt let me edit the file since bazzite revoked me root access? ok… that was the deal breaker for me (with bazzite, not Linux)

yes, but I first would like for you to approach someone who catches your eye, say hello and ask them how their day is going.

ok… but youre claiming that jumping through hoops to get Linux to work is bad, yet it’s ok on windows? makes no sense.
I’d personally rather have full control of my PC rather then some company telling me how to use my computer.

they are just bricking their own functionality is all.

yet you claim windows you need to also…checks notes run commands in cli
no, it can… but they won’t allow it because of all their dogshit background spyware crap. zero reason, other then microshits spyware. glad you made the best decision and dumped their stupid ass
