Oh nice, a fritzbox. Ive gotten one the week it was legal to bring your own modem here ( not germany ) and i have not looked back since. There is a build in vpn server you can enable to access data from anywhere :)
The real deal y0

Not yet. Ive been too busy tbh. I assume that, like many linux tools, its a bitch to report something. Not just a easy bug tracker or something
Pipewire has some neat tricks that i use on a daily basis but i can also make it crash on demand so idk :p. I have a restart script in my home directory for that exact reason.
It just does not like audio going out my gpu, together with video, through my receiver and into my tv.
Receiver not on while linux was booting? Guess what, pipewire reboot.
Tv goes off because of “inactivity”? Thats a pipewire reboot
… And yet i love pipewire haha. But ye, audio issues are still a thing

Not only older systems, a lot of (home) storage servers still use sata ssd cause its proven tech and hotswappable (and easy to do so).
This is bad in every way to look at it, and everything to do with samsung selling the nand chips to other places with a bigger margin

Nope. The ui framework doesnt support linux at all. None of its cross platform claases and enums have linux. Its stupid because .net and aspcore just work on linux…

Avalon is actually xaml and cross platform. Personally id rather have a razor format of gui code, but xaml is a good second. Its basically what maui was suppose to be

Winforms of all things haha. Eeuw xD
But thats flipping awesome and i love it!
I know xamarin was wpf being cross platform with mono, but thats a dead horse thanks to microsoft haha

LOL, didnt know maui naming was taken before. Hilarious

.net
.net cli apps are cross platform and can be portable :p
Gui in .net isnt fully cross platform ( maui is everything except linux ) but frameworks like avalonia ( .net ) and imgui fix all that :')

And that macos often breaks things because of new access/‘security’ policies hehe.
Also, to counter all of this : c++ & qt or .net and avalonia (because maui doesnt support linux… )

Ah, i see. Ye it can be interpreted in different ways, and reading the proposal might clear it up, but i doubt it. Its written extremely vague on purpose

Id need to look for it again, but i remember reading she was saying that the current proposal is vague in what it sees as required to prevent what she calls risks. I remember them asking her multiple times if she was against a law to prevent csa and the sharing there off, in which she replied multiple times that she was not, but that the law was too vague about what it constitutes as necessary to prevent it. Did i dream it? ><
Edit: found it!
Mevrouw Kathmann (GroenLinks-PvdA):

I recommend reading the dutch debate : https://www.tweedekamer.nl/kamerstukken/plenaire_verslagen/detail/2025-2026/17
And yes, the latter is currently a thing (but in a weaker form) but will no longer be allowed in april 2026, which is why this law is getting pushed so hard. Currently chats can be asked by police/interpol/… But they need good reasons, and the results can be varying because chat platforms like signal do not keep chat messages/stuff.
The new law forces them to have systems in place to catch or have data for law inforcements. It just allows for ‘any system to get the needed info’, it no longer says chat scanning is needed directly, but is rather indirectly which is as stupid and bad as before.

The later. However, they could still be fines for not doing what is needed to reduce “the risks of the of the chat app”, whatever the fuck that can mean when talking about illegal.content
I disagree. Though both qwerty layout, uk english > us english/international layout.
The enter key alone makes it better as is :p
Yup. I have yet to play around with wayland since im a linux mint user but look forward to it. I know what xserver intended to solve and weve gone way past those times. Something new is needed, and i hope wayland can integrate ui a lot better than xserver can. From what ive heard there are things wayland cant do that xserver can ( like stitching 2 monitors together and make it act like 1 ) but that wont stop me from trying and looking for performance differences
Not really. Linux mint/cinnamon is lacking behind on wayland support. Im still waiting for them to finish it but its going very very slowly.
With debian and ubuntu switching by default, i think linux mint will have to change gears quickly

Im guessing though. I remember seeing it on 4chan as a teenager so thats between 2006 and 2010 or aomething :p

In 2008? More than you’d think.
And doesnt run as root by default ! ( which docker does iirc, but can be turned off )
