Yeah, I switched to mbin soon enough, because I felt the issues rather increased than getting less over the time.
mbin has several working instances such as fedia.io, and is community developed. https://github.com/MbinOrg/mbin
Pretty much all of the major issues that kbin had were long fixed in mbin, hence why I eventually switched.
It is probably dead but Easy Diffusion is imo the easiest for image generation.
KoboldCPP can be a bit weird here and there but was the first thing that worked for me for local text gen + gpu support.
I was more talking about the logo itself, not the background.
I just searched for “Debian Rainbow” in an image search. I’m sure you can easily hack something together with a rainbow gradient mask over the regular logo in an image editor.
There were installers like today even ~20 years ago.
Personally I think it is too blocky and the colors too random, but I don’t know the original comment that gave the inspiration. I like much more, although I’d rather see the rainbow colors follow the direction of the swirl more.
I was about to complain about Lemmy’s lack of #hashtag support, which is a thing on mbin, but I’m glad it is finally coming.
Aaaaaand this has just turned into a weird nuclear debate…
Might work. Most people typically just dismiss the privacy issues. Maybe it reaches some of them if it involves more sensitive matters.
I would suggest people who are really invested in a community to follow that community’s instance meta/main community
You’d first have to even find / know about them. Unfortunately I’d say 99% of the threads in that community are also completely irrelevant for me and a lot of them aren’t even in English, so I’d rather not have that pollute my feed.
The moment Russia uses nukes in Ukraine is the moment they get completely fucked by NATO. It’s been pretty clear that nuclear weapons are the reddest of red lines.
And in case of a Russian collapse I guess we’d need some form of UN intervention to secure certain nuclear sites. Really depends on how bad things would go there in such an event though.
It’s on the nose but I don’t think it should be causing too much confusion within a community that’s about the fediverse.
I don’t know but it clearly lacks the reach. Maybe at least have an easy to see link to the news communities within the sidebars, but that’s more something for the actual software to do I think.
Thanks. I kinda hate how every instance has their own hidden away news community.
Where did they announce it? https://fedia.io/m/[email protected]/threads/newest Does not show any threads regarding that.
I migrated to mbin 7 months ago because the issues became more and more, not less. Kinda felt obvious that things slowly went downhill for kbin.
