I was a Mullvad user until they dropped support for port forwarding, something I needed on a daily basis. Then I moved to Air Vpn. All things considered, Mullvad is a great experience, and I completely recommend it.
IMHO KDE is a better option than gnome. No need to tweak the UI to solve those issues.
Came to say Fedora KDE is the way to go now. Stable, reliable, powerful and customizable.
I saw a post earlier this week where Firefox was adding an AI to the browser? That’d make me migrate to libre wolf or water fox.
Do you think your equipment is worth an upgrade? You could move frome a HDD to a ssd and have a major improvement.
Also, make sure the games you play can run on Linux.
It’s a case of personal preference, but Fedora+KDE is superior than Fedora+Gnome.
Seat have me a OBD device as a “gift” for my new vehicle back in 2021, and supervised me installing their app. The car has an option to opt out of sending data to SEAT via my phone too. Totally not sketchy.

Fedora+KDE ftw. I switched my un upgradeable windows PC to fedora and I couldn’t be happier.
We all end up using fedora.
How so? I miss the old gnome, but I have accepted gnome 3 for what it is. Kde was quite interesting for me back in 2012, but it didn’t perform well with my old setup. What’s new with kde? Id like to give it a try, but I’m too old to break my SO by having both gnome and kde on it.
Yandex has plenty of services just like Google. They have an email service, cloud storage, etc.
