I disagree. Having some kind of grievance with capitalism an sich is central to being leftwing.

I distinctly remember liberal messages rising to the top on Reddit, stuff like that you should just accept that you have to go out and work for a living. That’s not left!
It’s actually the second or third thing I mention about Lemmy if it ever comes up in conversation. Sometimes I feel like just dropping it because of it.
I used to be in a group that use it, and it works very well; we made great use of the mailing list feature, which Proton lacks beyond “contact groups”. The only thing is getting an invitation, which I seem to recall reading they’re not doing any more.
I didn’t see in the “about” what jurisdiction (if any) you are incorporated in. I also don’t see if there’s any encryption at rest.
You only get company names with “Inc.” in the USA as far as I know?
I’ve had the odd dream where I’ve vividly smelt something putrid, but I’d say every dream I have includes sound. I’ve had a couple of dreams where the world ended suddenly and I remember the almighty rushing noise and the sound of my never-ending sigh. I’ve dreamt a good few times about people I know speaking other languages they wouldn’t normally speak, too.
Every dialect has a word for it. There’s no gap.
I’ve got a black joker card in my wallet. I was walking to the tram stop with someone once, when I saw this playing card face-down on the floor, so I said “bet you I can guess this card,” I knelt down, and I said “I think it’s a joker.” I was about to turn it over when my friend said “hold on, black or red?” I said black and turned it over, and now it lives in my wallet.
Perhaps a lesson in heeding your elders’ word then.
I’ve recently learnt how to pronounce Irish slender consonants after basically years of wondering how to do it.
I mean, you could look it up yourself if you doubt it so.
You’ll be thrilled to learn, then, that there’s only one adjective in that insult.
But the famous thing about learning to ride a bike is that you don’t forget, even after decades. I’ve just looked it up to double-check and all I got was articles about why you never forget.
You don’t know the expression, “it’s like riding a bike”?
There’s a fair number of people who insist that “geek” and “nerd” mean two different, specific things. I think this is the same phenomenon, that people seek nuance where there isn’t because it makes the language seem more interesting or something.
It’s just the transition I don’t like!
Winter time, not wintertime.
Your dish is called a jacket potato if I understand you right. What I like to do is boil rice then mix it with peanut butter and sriracha and just eat that like it is.
I don’t think this is semantics. It reminds me of the Elon Musk nazi salute thing: maybe we are all tired of leftist nitpicking but it’s making people prone to misidentify it.
