I’ve never really had problems with it on windows either. I use it 95% of the time as I want to continue where I left off. This includes leaving huge videogames on like Witcher 3.
EDIT: Now that I think about it, I don’t remember the last time I used shutdown function. It’s always sleep or sometimes restart after installing something

There have always been something called “legacy servers”. The link in this post that links to the download actually includes some of those servers.

I’m actually a believer in server-sided anticheats. The time feels right to really start developing machine-learning backed anticheats that basically analyize how you play. Look up VAC Live
I genuinely do not understand the point of using kernel-level anticheats. They have been bypassed for nearly a decade now, you can buy cheats for any kernel-level anticheat game, battlefield 6 had hackers during the first betas, didn’t even take more than a day to bypass it. The only thing they seem to be affecting is your player count and review ratings
The site hijacks your clicks to open new tabs with malicious sites. Not really a problem if you use ublock or alternatives, but scummy nonethless
I think a statistic about how much of your userbase keeps the default config could be a testament to how good your OS is

Just let the kis grow up normally like rest of us did. I feel like many of us, just like me, grew up with far more extreme/unmoderated sites like liveleak and 4chan. Heavily moderated social media is very mild to what some of us grew up with, and I’m no serial killer by any means, I only kill on tuesdays
Also, preventing your kid from doing/exploring things young statistically makes them more suspecible to getting addicted to said things later in life
