Thanks for the book rec
I fucking hate leaf blowers!
So awesome, I’m am just about to jump into this so you had perfect timing posting this
Thank you!
I’m not going to argue with you but you should read the article perhaps? It’s pretty specific about where the laser is aimed vis a vis windows and whatnot
Ahh ok, that’s what you meant before I guess
Since that function is usually meant for night vision, I wonder how well a security camera can pick out the laser during the day i.e. when the IR sensors are being swamped by daylight also coming in through the window
demonstrating that he can point a laser that’s invisible to the human eye at a faraway laptop, through a window, and detect the computer’s vibrations to reconstruct virtually every character typed on it
Infrared is not visible
Fascinating, thanks for sharing. I see it says peer to peer vid chat and works in the browser but I’m wondering if it requires setting up a server or using a public instance, something like that?
Or is it possible for two people to go to the web page and start a vid chat with zero installation or any other preamble?
Sorry I’m away from home so I can’t look into the GitHub page deeply enough to answer my own questions
This was my first thought too but I think OP is more focused on those small things that only become evident after a couple weeks or even a month, after you’ve already invested a bunch of time and energy getting everything running the way you need it
Because it was posted to Reddit and got traction
That’s my guess at least
Wow I haven’t seen that one in forever!
Send an email encrypted with PGP to your intended recipient (using their public key of course)
Anonymous email is possible and most places accepting anonymous tips/whistleblowing have an email address for that specifically
Alternatively I’m sure these same places can make an anonymous IM account like simpleX chat for example
There’s plenty of ways really…
No, don’t know what it is either
Win XP > vista > win7 > win 10 then
Linux Mint xfce > KDE neon > aurora
Tried many distros in between like ubuntu, mint cinnamon, mint mate, debian, and a few others I only vaguely recall
I don’t fully agree with you. It’s certainly no major coverup but it’s a heap of evidence that goes against this shiny veneer google maintains with the public
Google pretends they are champions of user privacy and protection to maintain trust and enable data collection on an unprecedented scale
When this article shows they are actually leaking private info left right and center, have the most nonchalant attitude towards respecting and maintaining our privacy and evidently ‘keeping private info safe’ (or should I say ‘not being evil’) is at the bottom of their priority list
No where in my house, that’s for sure… They’re obviously going to tear the place apart and it’s the most obvious place to look for someone so unless I have some sort of secret hidden space I don’t know about, it’s a no go
Even if there’s a secret hideaway in my house, those agents are gunna station people here to wait and see if I show up, so I wouldn’t be able to leave easily either… I’d be trapped
No thanks, I’d rather leave and disappear…
Do you know of any other sites that have this? Sounds awesome
Rules
No it’s not and they’re really easy to find plus there’s 4 simple rules
