Cat5e works fine for gigabit. If it’s not connecting at 1G, then the cable has been damaged and is probably connecting at 100M.
You should be seeing about 118MB/s in an iperf test on gigabit ethernet.

The data is encrypted and can’t even be recovered unless you create a recovery key. Some people don’t want their browser phoning home and others just don’t want to store their data on someone else’s server.
Why not just use bookmarks in Firefox with sync enabled? You can self host your own sync server if you are worried about privacy.
Most of my drives are EXT4, but I started using BTRFS a couple years ago and will be using it on all new installs from now on. I really like being able to make snapshots and compression reduces the install size quite a bit.
It would have been nice if they came up with something shorter like .lan.
It’s either 2K or 4K video. The bitrate needs to be high because any compression artifacts would be very obvious on a huge screen.
It’s rather hard to open source the model when you trained it off a bunch of copyrighted content that you didn’t have permission to use.
Firefox currently has no plans to drop support for manifest V2. It also supports the WebRequest API in V3, so ad blocking would continue to work if they do discontinue V2.
That depends on the ISP having backup batteries for their equipment. It will usually only last a couple of hours. 5G will usually stay up for a few days. For longer outages, you will need satellite internet and lots of fuel for your generator.
It looks like work is still being done on Coreboot for the Framework. They got it running on the AMD version. It’s not ready for use yet, but at least there is some progress.
If you suspect it has been damaged, you should try to get a replacement. Considering what has been happening with them, I would suspect damage if there were stability issues in Prime95.
If you do get a replacement, don’t use it until the microcode has been updated in your BIOS.
There is no reason to support all distros. They already have an appimage, they could have dropped support for everything but that.
They look like crap, I won’t watch them.
You can specify multiple formats and it will download the first one that’s available.
You just need a program that actually supports the hardware video decoder. I’ve played 30-40mbps bluray rips on a Raspberry Pi 1B without any issues in kodi. The video played smoothly with no frame drops. The user interface was very sluggish though.
The GPU and video acceleration on the Pi is weird, so software has to be built specifically for it.
It works great on Linux for DVDs and regular blurays.
FreeDNS works pretty well as long as you don’t need more than 5 DNS records.
Make sure you get the flash drive from a reputable seller. Sites like amazon have lots of fakes that are actually a much lower capacity than they report.
Another option is a SSD and external enclosure.
The dedicated Intel GPUs have nowhere near as much performance as an RX 7900. The video encoder is very good though.
What kind of files?
I use Kodi to keep track of what TV shows and movies I’ve watched.
