I have observed little to no presence of actual conservatives on this platform; beyond the horseshoe effect with the tankie crowd.
Not a real thing. “Tankies” are in no way “conservative.” They want socialism, while fascists want to kill socialists and maintain the capitalist order.
A fascist “parody” account isn’t something that would be well-received on lemmy.ml, because we won’t allow it to become an “ironic” nazi bar like 4chan. Lessons were learned from Gamergate about fascist entryism into social media spaces. I’m not saying that you are doing that, I’m only explaining the reasoning behind defending against the possibility.
Your accent could use a buffing out.
People ask the strangest things of pseudonymous internet randos instead of subject-matter experts.
They’re very heavy, have no wings, and once they get off the ground they lose propulsion.
Seriously. These aren’t what c/AskLemmy is supposed to be for. It’s a supposed to be a clone of r/AskReddit.
I don’t think federation vs centralization is the primary differentiator. I think corporate vs non-profit/ad-free/donation-only/volunteerism is. Our marketing budget is goose egg. It’s all word-of-mouth.
This sounds like a question for the lemm.ee admins, not one for [email protected].
Leaving Firefox and its derivatives is mostly out of the frying pan and into the fire. Proprietary browsers are worse, and Chrome and its derivatives are worse, thanks to Manifest V3.
That leaves Firefox/Gecko derivatives, like LibreWolf, and possibly some Safari/WebKit derivatives like GNOME Web.
ActivityPub DMs are not encrypted between servers
It is insofar as TLS/SSL/HTTPS encryption is used in transit. That’s what I mean by encrypted in transit.
i could read anyone’s DMs to users on other servers
If you’re an administrator for (WordPress) ActivityPub server A, you can see all the DMs coming to and leaving from your server, yes. And they’re not encrypted at rest, so you can read them any time. But how would you see DMs going between server B and server C, when your server isn’t involved in the transaction?
Surprisingly, Reddit is NOT on the list.
If they’re slurping all these other sites, I highly doubt they’re not slurping Reddit, too, even if it’s not on the list.
Fediverse (likely ActivityPub - possibly DMs between servers)
They would have to hack the individual servers to get at the DMs, because they’re encrypted in transit. All the public stuff is trivial to scrape.

It doesn’t appear to have any fediverse instances, unless you want to count Threads. It does have ProtonMail & Signal; I wonder what that actually means.
I don’t see as any worse, necessarily. For all I know, Saudi Arabia was previously buying the data from Niantic piecemeal.

Best practice is not to use raw credentials on the command line because it exposes them in process listings and shell history files.

If it wasn’t operated like a private company, it wouldn’t need a union.
Why wouldn’t it? Public ownership doesn’t magically guarantee better treatment than private. Guess what is actually the largest union in the US, at over ten times larger than the NALC? The National Education Association (NEA) of public school teachers.
The USPS is not a private for-profit company, despite the Republican party’s efforts to make it so for decades. It used to not even be for-profit, until the Republican party passed legislation to forcing it to be run in the black. Actually it’s still not for-profit; it just has to break even.
I solved this by selling my house and outsourcing all those bullshit problems to the landlord.
