Drink in sips. Bring plenty of snacks. Fill up the vehicle when you get to half a tank. 8 hours is a breeze. Take plenty of pictures. Stop at the “worlds biggest whatever” or local diner, have a moment instead of powering through which is no fun.

I used Cool Edit Pro for years before having to switch to Adobe Audition. The UI in Audacity feels surprisingly familiar and it does what I need it to do.

You’re describing the free will vs predestination debate we had often in theology discussion. Ours never went anywhere, so I won’t be much help. I just wanted to put a name on it for you. Might help in your search.
Aptera. A solar panel on the roof of an electric vehicle. They’re slashing the power needed per mile in half because of weight loss and aerodynamics. That helps increase the range, especially for highway driving 400-1000 claimed miles on a charge depending on the model (40, 60 or 100kwh). It would be nice if they integrated v2x technology so you could use it as a generator.
I’ve been burned before by these too good to be true projects that never see the light of day, so I’ll believe it when I start seeing them on the road.

Dark mode, plays well with calibre, a wide range of supported formats, and way more storage and battery life than you’ll ever need.
Edit: it is one of the first devices to utilize the E Ink Carta 1300 screen. It’s filled with e-books from Annas Archive loaded by Calibre on Debian and never complained about compatibility.
It’s a glorified crawler that is incredibly inefficient. I don’t use it because I’ve been programmed to be picky about my sources and LLMs haven’t.
