Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•what’s a pun in your language, the english translation, and do you think it makes sense in english or has an english equivalent?
1·1 year agoIt doesn’t work as well spoken, though? Pretty sure Police is pronounced something like po-lee-tseh.
Also, I think you might have swapped a police with Police: “Police police, (whom) Police police police, police Police police.”

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Is there any scientific basis on "taste creep?" Example: you've eaten lots of good food and now average food that you used to enjoy grosses you out.
131·2 years agoRelated: spicy foods. I used to be basically intolerant of it but now hate eating non-spicy versions of foods I’ve grown accustomed to. Spicy peppers and hot chili powder have become a crutch for my otherwise mediocre cooking skills.

Homie dats a gas. Or supercritical fluid, which actually is indeed used for “washing” (SC CO2 is used to decaffeinate coffee). However, like others said, surface tension /= cleaning ability. Part of what soap does is increase the effective solubility of things that are not normally soluble.
Mr. fancypants with a garage over there. Meanwhile, ain’t no public chargers for miles around here.

Obsidian is pretty good. I currently use Logseq, which has a slightly different model that clicked a bit better for me. As a bonus, it’s open-source.
