What happened to “freedom of speech”, eh bud?

Freedom of speech never existed and as a rule can never exist. It’s an idea that has never been and will never be a reality. This is not to agree or disagree with whatever speech you don’t want censored. There is no place/time/environment where you can say whatever you want without some form of consequences from some subset of people.

Freedom of speech is and has always been a fantasy.

I find lemm.ee is better than most but yeah as others have said, since everything is federated and the majority mass of users are hardcore leftists there’s no way to really avoid them. Just get used to the downvotes and easily offended snowflakes and instabans and hope that as more people leave the mainstream social medias for federated socials that these people will be watered down.

I prefer my Nazis to be hiding in fear. Not making public pronouncements of support for the Nazi party. I will continue to drop services that endorse a political affiliation that doesn’t regard me as human.

Unfortunately the ones that kept their guns are more likely to form the private armies of billionaires and after work be part of their personal fellatio-slave harem than fight for the rights of their fellow humans.

Are we really just accelerating to full on dystopia at this point?
