I wasn’t affected by this directly, but from what I saw it was all handled extremely well - lots of notice so users could choose new instances and mods could coordinate moving communities elsewhere. Makes me optimistic for the fediverse.

The most common symbol is the rainbow pentagon star thing, which there isn’t much very close to in emoji, but you could use ⭐ or 🌟.
pruwyben@discuss.tchncs.deto Fediverse@lemmy.world•lemmy-like fediverse forum that lets you post things to your "profile"?English18·4 months agoYou could create a community for yourself & post your stuff there. I don’t think there are any rules against this
Food? Everybody likes food, right?
Or an experience - a trip, a night out, whatever
This post has way too much nuance for a site with downvoting.

pruwyben@discuss.tchncs.deto Fediverse@lemmy.world•Pixelfed just overtook Lemmy as the 4th most used Fediverse software.English1·6 months agoI’ve been wondering about that - the Misskey numbers are very weird, with MAU even lower than the number of new users that join in an average month. But this is a good explanation, thanks. It’s just too bad there’s not a good way to get MAU for them.

pruwyben@discuss.tchncs.deto Fediverse@lemmy.world•Wow Mastodon is under 70% now.English9·6 months agoThis is looking at total users, but I think monthly active users would be a better stat to use here. Lemmy has about 3 times the MAU of Misskey.
Edit: Also worth noting that Pixelfed has close to 3 times Lemmy’s MAU now.
