  • just dont make this too obvious to the companies that do this if its possible, otherwise they will try to hide their bots better.

Also, is there a “tos” for open source projects, kind of like what is acceptable behavior and what is not? Directly calling out ai generated “contributions” as malicious and unwanted would at least remove the facade from them as non hostile.

Like, if someone trys to add malicious code to the project, that is definitely gainst some kind of agreement, no? So add slop to it too.

  • i recommend using portmaster, its kind of extra firewall since windows default is shit. At least you’ll be able to see if something you install is connecting to internet and maybe even block it, though if you dont pay you get only 15min history data. Maybe it wont help preventing infections, but it might help mitigate damage and potentially reveal strange traffic, though i wouldnt count on it too much. Better than nothing at least.

Or if there is some other program that does the same but is better then go with that, just dont rely on default firewall imo.

if i ran a privacy focused company, i would keep records that are just wrong and dont link to correct people at all. If i actually need to make records maybe i would make somekind of system where i personally can use them, kind of like extra cypher on top of everything else that would transform/pick the useless data into actual data. So if someone demands the records and i just have to give them, i’ll just give them -> they cant get anything out of them anyway.

Can’t demand me to be competent too 🤷‍♂️ maybe i would give excuse that i used ai to wibe code the thing

  • Trying to do something about bots is okay. “attitude” is iffy but still kind of understandable, though already a step in worrying direction. But surely its implemented in transparent and fair way… right? Actively lying to users so they cant use images that MIGHT have content coder doesnt like? What else are they lying about? What else WILL they lie about? And that it reduces your reputation while not even informing you about it?

It doesnt matter if your ideals are noble and intentions good, if you dont act with integrity you are no better than the ones who are making world shitty place.
