I was recently listening to a podcast interviewing Chris Columbus on how they adapted the novel. It was the first thing he wrote that got picked up. I’ve never read the original screenplay, but they ended up cutting out the most graphic stuff. For example, at one point a disembodied head comes rolling down the stairs due to gremlin shenanigans.

So you experience could definitely have been worse.

Safe to say that we were all pretty nuke-aware when that came out. It certainly didn’t help assuage our anxieties.

Why is it ALWAYS the sports companies?

Because that’s the biggest broadcast rights moneymaker. Cable would be full and truly dead without sports.

There’s always recycling. Or changing that final character from a 1 to a 2, etc. The human brain just cant handle the complexity otherwise.

Fyi, Skype was officially killed by Microsoft on May 5th, earlier this month.

One of the security upsides to plex is that any number of people can log in with the same credential.

That means that while Plex can harvest information- what account, what’s being watched, IP address, device and player identifier- It doesn’t know who to attach that information to. So you can get dozens or maybe hundreds of users polluting the same account with watch information. Less useful information to be sure.
