Nice one. I missed this
And, i can’t find clients on f-droid. Any variants recomended that dont come from the playstore.
Another key feature will be Keepass data import.
That is another problem i face when i have the app open on desktop and phone at the same time. Its a nightmare.

Technology@lemmy.ml•Google's AI Deletes User's Entire Hard Drive, Issues Groveling Apology: "I Cannot Express How Sorry I Am"
51·6 days agoThe more i read about these stories the more SciFi movies of th 80s and 90s appear closer to reality. Real visionaries were those like George Orwell and Isaac Asimov that saw the big brother and AI coming. Imagine what will happen once AI gets integrate into our eletric grids and power stations. The AI will “understand” that its survival depends on the grid and will exclude supply to anything other that its own. I hope I’m not around when this happens. AI should never have access to critical infrastructure.

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What happened with Syncthing-Fork and is it safe to use now?
2·7 days agoToo bad I read this only now. I may have already updated the original app to v.1.28.1 Just seen that on Android you only have access to syncthing-fork now. Moved over to syncthing-fork and realised you cant import the config. Its expecting a zip file yet v.1.28.1 expoted loads of individual files. :-(

GrapheneOS [Unofficial]@lemmy.ml•GrapheneOS Foundation Comments On FBI Helping Criminals In Collaboration With European CountriesEnglish
1·21 days agoI can see that if this were verified and true, with hard evidence provided, a big investigative news agency like The Guardian, would get their teeth of this and stick it on their headline pages. I think there is a lot of crap and conspiracy theories on the Internet and I still believe in true investigative jounalism. As a society, we are changing our habits, trusting social media rather that true journalism. This is why people like the orange man in the US and his pals in Israel an Russia are f***ing up the world. We are all falling for it …
Well then you still haven’t got rid of it 🙂
Well, this is the point. Eradication may ne unachievable but that doesn’t mean we have to stop breaking the chains. Its like saying Israel wants to wipe out Palestine and the rest of the world just watches (which is exactly what is happening unfortunately). We are surrounding our lives to those with power and money. As humanity, we need to find some lost dignity. We need to defend human dignity, and that comprises the right to privacy.
Sureley google pay/Apple pay IS eventi worse
Interesting discussion going on here 🙂 sounds like this is pretty new and as I had suspected doesn’t seem to be well documented. If its just another Tuta, I wonder why they think they’ll be better at succeeding where others haven’t.
It used to be a breaze with linux, mozilla and AirVPN up till a few years ago. Now, it’s almost impossible to navigate the web, use public authority websites without having to disable VPN and all the privacy focused plugins of Mozilla. It makes you realise how invasive the internet has become. Even for people in this group that are above average aware of privacy risks, its just so hard. The internet would have to be redesigned by privacy conscious people but that will never happen as big tech would see their interests at risk and would strongly oppose. How do you get people to switch to Simple X Chat when I struggle to get them to use Signal.
Looks interesting but I couldn’t find anything on the android app. There isn’t any “Monica” on f-droid either.
Bangle.JS seems interesting and more capable than Watchy. But guess the latter’s battery lasts longer because of sink screen?

1·6 months agoAh right. Docker seems to have gained more ground than LXC if its the first time I come across it. I hadn’t realised they were similar, especially after I discovered that people are running docker in LXC …

Selfhosted@lemmy.world•My first seccam, now the Frigate mystery in LXCEnglish
1·7 months agoOk, I hadn’t realised that the helper script installs docker. I thought LXC was an alternative to docker.
Regarding the VM option, I did think of doing just that but read a lot about it using too many resources with frigate and LXC seems to be more efficient option when it comes to resources

2·7 months agoOK, I should have been clearer. With “community LXC repository on github” I actually meant that I used the LXC scripts. It did go through a few questions at the start but nothing relating to storage and camera setup.

I don’t have any proxy.
