How would perceived irrationality be counter to a deterministic universe? It just maybe seems irrational without all of the information, but is still perfectly part of the causal chain.

Lonely Island has a few (Jack Sparrow) comes to mind but again not a direct parody of a specific song.
Richard Cheese does straight up covers but they are so stylistically different that it’s basically a parody. Chop Suey
Then there’s the classic comedy music duos: Garfunkel & Oates (Loophole), Flight of the Conchords (Business Time)
Bo Burnham’s whole Inside special is fantastic too.
Looks like I’m mostly listing comedy music and not necessarily parodies, but oh well.
Or just looking up the answer afterwards.

I try and live-capture and release bugs from my house (the only things I actively kill in this regard is mosquitos).I also hunt/fish.
If I saw a deer trapped on a frozen lake I’d go out and rescue it, yet I’d shoot that same deer in a different place under a different context. It’s not really consistent, except in intentionality I suppose.
I do place a higher value on the life of animals that are more “intelligent” (in a way that feels more human) compared to other animals. For example, I’m not upset at all when I use hand sanitizer and presumably wipe out a whole swath of life, but I’m sad if a bird hits a window and dies. Part of that is the intentionality again maybe? The bacteria “had” to die, and the bird didn’t; I’d feel less bad about the bird if I saw a natural predator take it down but it’s still more upsetting than even unintentionally killing an insect.

The problem is what I’d like doesn’t exist (I’m not going to subscribe you a million different websites and still not even be ad free) and probably can’t. How much do all the ads I’m blocking cost? It’d be ripe for abuse but I’d essentially like a taxi meter, but it would charge me for website use from just one central account that I top up or is part of my internet bill or whatever.
I want the whole business model of using ads and tracking to pay for the internet to not exist.

And if you had the power what would you bring back?7·10 months agoYes I’m also the same way with ads. I’d happily spend more for internet if there was somehow an “ad surcharge” that would mean I’d never see ads or be tracked. Let me pay whatever the advertisers pay.

If the movie is anything to go by, the secret will come out and there will be a fight but you’ll also fall in love and become attracted to them before the credits roll

Second this. It’s also way better than Google maps for downloading and using maps outside of cell service too. I’ve noticed it’s got lots of hiking trails as well
Yeah, and it can mean they don’t survive the winter due to the lack of protection from their coat
I was imagining an awning or something that was being set up when it rained

How would that work for things that are “part” of the land, like natural resources, or even the topsoil? Would the land be “owned” by the government (I think this might already technically be the case)? Does that mean anybody could just build something in “my” back yard?
So you’re saying it is possible then? That was my only hangup. I don’t have a position on whether we have free will (leaning towards not) for the exact reason we can’t prove it.
