Why is duplicate files a problem?

I hear you can get a pretty good offer from CrowdStrike these days.
Think of LLMs like a stupid office worker. You wouldn’t rely on them to make critical decisions, but they’re valuable for tedious stuff.
For example, my calendar changed the way to enter new events breaking my workflow. Now I just type out a skeletal schedule and have LLM convert that into a .csv that I import.
I’m thinking of Ripping my CD collection again. I’m researching a way to use a LLM to tidy up the metadata.
I had a folder full of random stuff I’ve saved for years. Had a LLM organize and categorize it for me. I had to tweak the prompt enough that this was a medium difficulty task, but still way easier than doing it manually.
oooh they found something a Linux user will pay for
Once again, Linux is late with a feature that Microsoft not only has had for years, but is famous for.
If you invented something unique your first problem is going to be describing it to yourself. You’ll need new nomenclature. The second problem is describing the unique thing to someone else.
One could argue that anything that can be nailed down by language cannot be unique because the metaphors and phrases to describe it preexisted.
I’d rather be on the Ukrainian front than any place accurately represented by Blood Meridian.
Waland is the British half of the mega corp Waland-Yutani. Sometimes called Wa-Yu, or simply “the company”
Founded by Charles Bishop Wayland, the totally not evil billionaire industrialist, Wayland LLC was known for energy production, computer technology, and planetary terraforming before it was acquired in a hostile takeover by the Japanese Yutani corp in 2099.
All these files are backed up in /System32 folder
Well said. Thinking billionaires are assholes because they’re naturally shitty is like thinking they got rich by being naturally hard working.
Take landlords for example. You can be the nicest person in the world. The kind of person who makes friends with the tenant. What do you think happens to you after you’ve evicted a few of your friends?
Systems are a bitch.
God forbid a Star Wars movie be interesting or play with fan expectation. Trying to please the Star Wars fandom is like a battered woman trying to make sure that dinner is ready and hot when he gets home.
You know, it’s perfectly OK to group voters by identity, so long as that identity cannot exclude “Normal” people. Soccer Mom, Six pack Dad, Middle class, working poor, labor, Small Business owner, Rural, Urban, and Suburban are all perfectly fine to promise these groups political power. But you do the exact same thing for queer people or black people and that’s identity politics all of a sudden.
